There is a new sport in the intramurals this semester and I sat down with the guy in charge of it to find out more.

Braxton Kuder is a second-semester sophomore in computer science. He played the game a lot  in high school but doesn’t know where it came from. As a Florida Poly student, he started playing with his roommates. Kuder was willing to answer a few questions about this mysterious game.

Tell me more about the game

It’s a mix of pickleball tennis and volleyball. You serve back and forth on a tennis court. You use any part of your body to hit it to the other side it can’t bounce twice in a row.

Why do people enjoy it?

I feel like it’s super simple. The rules themselves are not super complicated. It’s not an endurance game, it’s for agility. It has a lot of strategies.

Is it beginner-friendly?

Yes. As you play more you find strategies.

How many people have you shown the game?

 About 10.

How many people play more than once?

Ninety percent

What does someone need to play?

Water, non-restrictive clothes

When is the event how can people get involved?

March 3rd, 6 pm. There is a discord server https://discord.gg/Wuf7maga
