The Florida Poly Computer Science Department moved to make significant changes to the CS curriculum during their Faculty Meeting. The Dodo team reached out for comment.

“Well, most students who come to the university have little to no experience anyway. They cry that C is too hard and pointers are impossible,” said the department chair. “They [the students,] want us to baby them so we stopped resisting.”

“I had a senior the other day walk into my office and ask what is a linked list,” continued the chair. “We joke around about it as a department, but inside we are deeply ashamed. “

Scratch will now be the only language taught at Florida Poly besides python, which is just pseudo-code that happens to compile. According to the department, “it is just as simplified as scratch – a baby lang for babies.”
