Reminders to check temperatures, wash hands, and to socially distance are everywhere on campus. Public health dominates the walls, doors, and floors, with rules, reminders, and six-foot markers. Also present: “Grand Reopening” themed signs.

The Student Government Association is approaching the Fall Semester, with lighthearted “Grand Reopening” themed signage. The university campus and classes went to remote instruction in March.
“We [SGA] thought it would be nice to have this reopening for the students’ cause we’re back,” said Student Body President Connor Coddington.
Balloons line the IST South Entrance. The signs prominently feature the new University Mascot and phrases such as “We missed you!” and “Welcome back.” Others mention SGA’s Phoenix Link, a platform for student organization and event discovery.
“It is playful. We just want to have a little bit of fun. I know there’s a lot of signage and other messages around campus,” Coddington continued. “We wanted to have some more happy aspects while you’re walking around.”

Coddington, looking forward, said, “On behalf of all of us at SGA, we hope the students all have a great semester.”
