Last weekend, the first PhoenixHacks hackathon took place. Out of 64 participants, 36 demonstrated 12 projects, according to an email from the organizers.

First Place: A Mediocre Text-Based Game

“A text-based adventure game that manipulates people into divulging personal information to be sold to advertisers”

Second Place: Stylish Meteorologist

“An Alexa Skills and Internet of Things (IoT) device that helps make sure a person’s outfit is appropriate for current weather conditions”

Third Place: Swiper

“An application that helps job seekers easily search and apply for jobs with a swipe of their thumb”
